It is being said that Apple is planning to launch an e-sports-centric PC at WWDC 2020. The high-end gaming Mac is expected to be priced at $5,000 (approx Rs 3.56 lacs). Interestingly, this will be the first time when Apple will try its luck in the field of e-sports gaming. It is rumored to be unveiled at Apple's annual Worldwide developer conference (WWDC) in 2020, with the price tag being around $5,000. It's in the same ballpark as the new Mac Pro, which is priced starting at $5,999 in the US. The details for Apple's gaming Mac are currently sparse.

Most of them are compatible with Mac and PC so the players can connect without any problem related to the device they use. Even though Windows is the most popular operating system when it comes to gaming, most of the game developers make appropriate versions for Mac users. If these rumours turn out to be true, then this will be the first time Apple will enter the high-end eSports PC field.

Now according to a rather bizarre rumor from Patently Apple, they are claiming that based on reports coming out of Taiwan, apparently Apple is looking to jump into the gaming scene by launching game-centric Mac computers in 2020. At the moment, Apple's higher-end iMacs and MacBook Pros are capable of gaming to a certain extent.

However, a quick look at the benchmarks will reveal that they aren't necessarily the best or most powerful when it comes to gaming, and this is apparently an area Apple wants to address. The rumor claims that this will be a high-end gaming device priced around $5,000 (similar to the base price of the Mac Pro), and could either come in the form of an AIO or a gaming laptop.

Like we said, it seems a bit bizarre that Apple would launch such a device as the company has never really been one to cater to the gaming market. Needless to say that this should be taken with a huge dose of salt for now, but hopefully we'll have more details in the future.
